headlamp wiring
having spent the day making a using a vicky green loom to make a proper one for my mk iv become stumped with the headlamp wiring.
i have a 3 pin toggle switch bought from AES but need to know which wires on the vg loom connect to my new switch?

Connect the lights feed to the input pin, sidelights to the first on position and headlights to second on position.
Then you need an on/on changeover switch (ie with 3 terminals). The headlight feed from the first switch goes to the input pin, then one output to the
headlights and the other to the main beam.
Make sense?

im using the sierra dip/main switc on the stalk. problem i have is none of the terminals on the switch are labelled or even marked
i also cannot figure out the wires for the headlamps on the vg loom

Have you got a multimeter. If so have a play around and try and work out which terminal is which. You could always do away with the column stalks and
use dashboard switches, looks neater and less production car like IMO.
Should be fairly straightforward to work out which connector is which anyway.
