Donor Loom

For those who used a mk2 Escort donor - did you bother removing the loom? It looks very integrated with the car and a pain to remove.

My locost will be a racer so I won't a lot of the wiring anyway - I'm tempted to make up my own loom instead - any thoughts?

Cheers,
Simon

take it anyway, even if it means cutting it out, you may find bits of wire, relays and connectors useful.

Wouldn't be that bothered about keeping it if I were you as everything about it will probably be a bit past its sell by date by now.

If the car is only for racing it's simple enough and cheap enough to make your own from new wire and connectors and it will probably be all the more reliable for it. To be honest making your own loom is actualy probably easier than trying to work out what goes where and modifying to fit a loom you've taken out of a donor car.
