Sierra stalks mounting and connections

Hi all,

Got the TPS sensor sorted earlier, many thanks.

Got on to the indicators now. Bit of background, I've got a sierra coloumn (I think) it has had the ignition and various brackets removed and ground smooth. I also have a pair of sierra stalks, that I'm trying to mount. My questions start now....

1) has anyone got anypics of there sierra stalks mounted so I can see how there supposed to be, and what bracketry I need to make up...

2) Also wil I need to use relays and fuses etc to connect them to the main wiring loom, ? I can I connect them directly to the sierra stalks?

Many thanks to all in advance

It sounds as though these may be missing if the column has been cut down to the basic unit.
I would be tempted to use dash mounted switches for the lights and try to find an aftermarket indicator switch that clamps to the column , or else try to find another column complete with switches. There are 2 types of Sierra switch gear , the old type switches the live circuit and doesnt need relays or the later type switches the earth circuit amd has to be used with relays.

Hi Paul,

Many thanks. Looking at the picture above the coloumn has been reduced to its basic form, (this is a converted race car. looks like I'm gonna be making some brakets up to try first then go fo the dash switches.

Is there anyway to tell which switches I have, by part numbers etc?

again many thansk to all

The switches will have a number and letters stamped on them - cant remember fully but others will help - look for something along the lines of 84GG or 88GG - one type is a switched live and the other is a switched earth so its important!
