Motorbike Lights question
I want to use bike lights on my Indy as they are smaller. I understand that there are issues with SVA due to the fact that bike lights dip downwards
and not down and to the left like car lights.
Is it feasable to rotate the bulbs by a certain amount so that they dip down and to the left?

Not really as the main beam will also point to the left if you alter the aim.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Also, at SVA time the lens needs to have an E mark and an arrow indicating the dipping direction.
I have bit the bullet and bought another pair of proper car headlights after being sold a bike set by an unscrupulous trader.

So you think I should swap to bike lights after SVA?

Can't MK lend you a pair?
Otherwise def. wait until post-SVA before you buy. MOTs only test for dip position, and that is only to check you won't blind someone.

Doesn't matter that the main beam points wherever you point the dip as main beam pattern & aim aren't checked either at SVA or for
MOT. I think also you don't need the E marking providing the lights "provide a similar light" or something like that - need to refer
to the manual to check that. The problem is that the dip beams would have to give the correct pattern, never checked a bike headlamp so don't
know if that's feasable.
Easiest answer is probably to change them afterwards, like I did They do still need to comply with MoT regs tho'
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

I have a friend who is SVA'ing a cut down S2000 and is using fireblade front lights and hasnt mentioned a fail point for using them.
Im using 2CV headlights which dip downwards and not to the left by any noticeable degree so I hope we're right Russ!
