I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

i'm trying to get hold of just the rear light holders thats why the pic is on here folks.
Just sampling if the look will go down well with locosters. It does take a lilltle while to appear, depending on speed of your pc link.

It's a piece of downpipe with a set of landrover lights glued into it isn't it.. The custom crew used to do it the other way round sinking the light into the panel, called it frenching for some reason.

i have made 'light holders' like that just recently for the back end of my car - morgans have that look.

wasnt that hard. formed the shape from card, then cut out some scrap 1mm steel, using card as template, formed it into a tube around a similar dia object, then welded it and buffed the welds flat using a flap wheel in a drill stuck in a vice.

used cheop lights that look quire good, having the rubber recesssed into the holder.

if interested, I can post pikkies.

I tried making some, but didn't look great.
These ones are made from light weight plastic- cheaper; or may get them in rolled ali'

mine look ok.

the trick is the following.

1. allow a bit extra at the lamp end to cut away to allow a better edge to the welded seam.

2. dvelop the shape from card - its actually a kinda sine shape - not as linear as you might expect.

3. Use edge strip as it meets the body.
