AAAAARRGGHHH !!! zx9r wiring!
Need some help lads,
I've got another wiring loom, all plugged in
Have jumped the brown ign switch wire into the white,& the white into the grey(with a resistor),Have earthed out the sidestand/clutch wire
(green/black from fusebox) yet still wont start have got ign on (neutral &oil lights) turns over but not firing.
Have any of the start/stopwires got to be bridged/earthed.
Or could someone explain from the start, what goes where and what needs to cut??
Cheers
If it doesn't fit MODIFY it!!

have you checked the run/stop switch?,
tip over switch? (not sure if it has one)
are you getting a spark at the plugs?

Hi cossiebri, i'm doing my wiring at the mo, have you used the zx ignition switch, or your original ignition wire, if so where does the white
ignition wire from the car loom go, i have'nt a clue.

I'm using the standard (car) ign,
Yellow/red from starter relay(bike) to ign starter wire on car ign
brown ign wire to switched live,i.e acc on, on car ign
grey to white with 100 ohm resistor on ign wiring block (bike)

the grey should be on the brown wire not the white so the ecu see's ignition 12volts and resisted 12volts at the same time when the ignitions
turned on
give it a try

My theory
Run stop switch is brown/white and a red which needs to be bridged but it would not turn over if this was out. I think the clutch switch needs to be
done as it will cut your spark unless you are in neutral and will stop you getting into gear with the engine running

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I tried with same result Bri. I've been searching for ages on it and I did come across a couple of posts that suggest the wattage of the
resisitor matters. Think it said 1.5 watts? Was somewhere on this site and the geek at Maplins agrees that this matters, in fact he wouldn't
give me any resistor at first as he said just guessing wouldn't work. Damn those nerds! (Jealousy!)

With the run/stop switch, do you ignore the stop switch and just splice the two start switch wires together, or do the same yo the stop switch
wires.
PS sorry for piggy backing.

What was your solution?
I'm using a 100ohm resistor that was fitted in the old wiring loom

The red feeds the start &stop switch-bridge this with the brown&white.
Hows your build coming on?

The solution was to use a swear word! Adapting your language to suit! Resistor didn't work so after scouring the search forum I've got a
couple of 1.5 watt ones still sat in the car though. As a side thing, I found that my starter relay was stuffed and not letting the voltage past.
Maybe worth checking with the multi meter
