automatic choke

having changed the carb on car , the new one has automatic choke ,it has one spade terminal on unit .Anyone know where this is wired to ? Believe it to be either switched live or poss alternator ?engine is 1800 ohc from manta and carb is GM varijet from a senator /manta

i beleive it just goes to ignition live.

Could be alternator feed but no reason not to fit an ignition live. Crap carbs BTW Must have changed a good few of them over the years

Yes Crap carb is an understatement
Converted one or two to Webers using the official Weber kit.
