temp sensor wiring question

hi

my koso dash has 2 wires going into the temp sensor

however my fireblade temp sensor wont budge and is going to round off its been there for 12 years so I may aswell use it for now if I can

but the fireblade temp sensor only has 1 wire

whats the two wires for as opossed to 1

one of the two will be an earth. The temp housing willl be alloy on the blade, giving you the earth.

The promlem with using the factory sender is that the gauge may read wrong as the gauge will not be calibrated to work with the factory sender.

Chris can you keep us updated as to how this works out? I want to do this on my engine, but I am worried about the sclae. My gauges have a 100ohm resistor in series going to the gauges. I was thinking I could just plug the Koso straight in, but maybe not...
