Removing wires from a relay base or fuse box
I have several wires I would like to change on both my fuse box and a couple of my relays (I need to uprate the wiring to be able to run dual
headlights off one circuit). The probem is, I can't see how the wire blocks are connected in on relays my (bike) fusebox. I see the wire is
crimped onto the terminal in both cases, but what holds the terminal in? Is there a way of removing these terminals to change the wires? Many thanks.

They usually have a small barb holding them.
If you can get at it you can sometimes release the barb with a thin piece of stiff wire or a pick.
Not easy in some cases.

You should be able to use a small screwdirver to press the tab on the terminal flat. This will then let the terminal slide out of the holder. Makes
more sense if you look at a terminal and see the Tab.

Thanks chaps. I will attempt this tonight (and probably stab my wrist with a small screwdriver!).

You can get pin removers, which are cheap and available from the likes of maplins. As someone said its easy when you have seen one out.

Managed the connections on the fuse box, but not the relay. Might be easier just to get a new relay base. Thanks for the info chaps.
