Fuel Tank Filler Extension
My tank is sat too low for me to fill it in the position the filler is - yes I know I could maybe fit the tank higher but I want to keep the weight
low.
Has anyone extended the filler tube and if so what do i need to buy and where from?
I just basicaly want to be able to cut a hole in the rear or up top and extend the filler tube down to the tank.
I hope i have mad that crystal clear?

Yup crystal
I would go for a top filler rather than back panel, mine is in the back and its a pain to fill (airlocks)
I bought my flexible hose from http://www.thinkauto.com nice people to do business with too.

Hey Bob, maybe I should copy all your work as we seem to be doing the same thing - amongst another 1000+ i imagine

Me again, Bob...what's stops yours from over filling?
Even just leaving some fuel in the flexible is not ideal so do you have a cut off built in or?

Yuo have to be on the ball when filling up,it has over filled before.
As i mentioned earlier it would fill better from a top loader, the pump at the service station would go further into the tank and would click off
before overfill.
Its just another one for my list of winter jobs that i didnt do last time, just need to practice fibreglassing the hole that will be left in the rear
panel.
