Ive just bought an alternator from a CVH sierra and looking into daihatsu charde alternators.

The cvh starter is apparently thicker than one off of a dohc sierra which might conflict with flanges on escort phase 1 sumps, (requires some grinding off of cast alu)

Alternator should bolt on with a braket but requires a zetec pulley fitted with lots of grooves, as the daihatsu one has a single v shaped pulley.

CVH is thinner than DOHC by 12mm, see my photo archive for one fitted to a blacktop/mt75.
Starter is a QS1221 from qx components - 1.6 1.8 CVH sierra granada.
