Wiring Help

Hi, I have spent all weekend wiring in the ECU for my MK with 2.0L Pinto with Carbs and have now connected everything , but I notice on the Vikki Green loom there are 2 wires one white and one white/black that the wiring diagram states are the important wires for wiring up various ignition systems.

What do I do with these wires..

Thanks

John

These wires should connect to your coil.

When you say ECU do you mean the ignition amplifier (Black plastic box mounted on an alloy plate with a 7 pin plug at the bottom and Motorcraft moulded on the side)?

If so and IIRC 2 of the wired from the ignition amp need to be spliced into the wires you refer to to drive the coil.

NO, it's the ECU that is about 5" square and 1" thick with a 24 way connector which goes to a stepper motor on the carb, a 3 pin plug to distributor, 3 relays, and the coil + suppressors

Can't help with that one I'm afraid.

I had the same st-up on my donor car but after looking at the installation I ditched it in favour of the earlier inductive discharge set-up with the ignition amplifier, 2 wire dizzy and DGV carb.
