Speedo healer question?

Hi all,

As some of you may know I've had problems with my speedo. recently fixed with great thanks to paulf, all that was needed was a speedo healer to sort the problem.

Now today the little magic box arrived, duely wired in and............. nothing.

put the jumper back in to restore the original and the speedo worked. I could set all the values but the test mode, and the test mode has no effect. has anyone else used a speedo healer and seen a similar problem? I'm sure its something simple.

my current sender is three wire, and has a nice 12v pulse signal. I only need to change the signal down by 18%

any comments suggestions welcome?

Or shall i contact the speedo healer people?

Many thanks

I've got a strong 12v pulse now so i didn't think it would be needed? maybe i need a pull down too 5v???

Hi Neil
You may need to put the resistor in between the output and neutral to pull down to 0 volts, when I tested the sensor I found that a DVM read 12v even when no output unless loaded up by a resistor. It was ok connected to the speedo as i suspect that has an internal resistor but the speedo healer may have a high input resistance , connect a 4.7k across the input and neutral of the speedo healer.
