savage charge warning light

fitted a savage led battery warning light to dash for the alternator. problem is the light stays illuminated all the time, i assume it is because it is an led and that a resistor will be required to simulate the standard warning light bulb. If i am correct in my thinking does anyone know what size resistor is required,
