ETB DD1 Tacho Wiring

Hi all,

Wiring our dash at the moment and slightly confused about the wiring of the tacho input. The tacho cable has 2 wires (red and white) and these are both shielded with copper. The diagram in the instructions appears to be different to the paragraph decribing it. The picture tells you to earth the white wire and attach the red wire to the LT side of coil. However, the paragraph appears to be saying attach the two wires across the coil and earth the copper shield.

Can any one shed any light on this and tell me which method is correct? Could try both but it's hard to test with no running engine!

TIA
Andy
