Electric fuel pump
Better fitted next to tank at rear or somewhere in engine bay next to carbs.
This may just be question of preference

fitted nearer the tank, most electric pumps (facet etc) are designed to push not pull.

Just put my pump in position today and I've placed it next to the tank.
