SD Cards

I've purchased a 4Gb SD HC card for my plasma but it doesn't recognise it. Also in the card reader of my pc it doesn't work.

Is it the SDHC format thats wrong? Should it just be plain SD??

Dazed & confused...

Depends if your plasma is SDHC compatable They are slightly different formats with different max capacities. Need to look in the plasma user manual and if it doesn't mention sdhc then it's just plain old sd I'm afraid.

Hi Coozer,

Chances are, the TV doesn't recognise anything above 2Gb...

There isn't much stuff out at the moment thats HC compatable - so 2 gig probibly your limit (HC is for 2 to 32 gig)

2 gig cards are quite cheap now so just get 2 of them

I want a 6 gig Micro SD (or bigger) for my phone, but mine doesn't support it either I'll have to try and get an N95 for my next upgrade

My new camera recognises sdhc

but I've only bought a 2gb one as it folds in half and doubles up as a usb interface (its a sandisk 2gb plus usb card on amazon)

cheers,

Ned.

I managed to get a 4GB non HC card - it is a Transcend one, think it came via Amazon. My pc card slot doesn't recognise it, but it works everywhere else I have tried it.
