Weatherproof Connectors Help
I'm using some weatherproof connectors from Vehicle Wiring
(here) but I'm not quite sure how to use them -
I'm having problems fitting the red plastic pin-retaining bits on the female terminals - the red plastic bit in the right had section of the
photo.
Anybody got any tips or the instructions?!
Regards
Wyn

the red water tight seals are pushed onto the wire first - lagre end first
then crimp the teminal onto the bare end of the wire
then push the terminal into the black plastic holder - look for the littlte locking clip
then push the red water seal down the wire into the black plastic block to seal the wire in.

ps have had a drink already tonight so hope this makes sense....
not sure which way round the red seals should go so test them first!!

WHS plus they are a real PITA. Only bend the tags, if you bend any other part, they are an ar$e to get right

You can get proper crimps for doing AMP Superseals, but thesea re bloody expensive, so as said above, be very careful and only bend over the tags that
grip the wire, there are a couple of other tags that look like they should bend over, but don't, as these are guides. If yuo have bent them over
then this may have stoped the red bit going on.
