Design Software

Hi

I'd like to begin designing my electrical system however I do not have a great deal of experience in this field. Is there a program available, (preferably cheap or better still free), which will allow me to construct virtual circuits and then test them?

Thanks in advance

Mick

I've used Proteus before which is very good. Sadly it isn't free.

PSPICE used to do a free evaluation copy, which was good enough for a lot of jobs.
SPICE itself IS free but not very user friendly.
Might be findable if you google it
