invisible car aerial.
My new project will have a roof and a radio and everything. I had a liik at aerials in Halfords ang they either look like they're off 1970s
Fords ot look like they should be broadcasting TV signals. Some cars look like they don't have aerials at all. I want one of them. What kind
of aerial do I need?

Some cars have a flexible "sticker" type aerial on the front screen. Dunno whether they're only OEM or whether you can buy 'em
though...

Use the heated rear screen as an arial, if you have one, you just need a special box. p38 rangerovers have these at the back above the sub amp so flea
bay someone breaking one.

As above, try a rear screen\arial splitter box.
They were also available in some Sierras and i've heard of them being in the Vauxhall Omega.
You mighy have to change your rear screen wiring slightly tho as both the +ve and -ve have to come thorough the splitter box.

my 1995 bmw hasn't got an arieal. not sure what type it is though... you get some tyoes that use the rear screen heater element, i'm not
sure if mines one of thse though. i know mine has a powered amplifier above the rear passenger side window. don't know anything else about it
though.
dads vauxhall omega is the same. i think that used the heater element.
new BMW shark fins look sweet

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

i'd imagine that if your car has glass fiber Body then you could mount an arial behind the body panel since radio waves pass right though grp.
that's what we do in r/c planes

Just get a bog standard cheapo car aerial and mount it horizontally behind your dash.
