Megajolt

Has any one got any experience of Megajolt Lite. Iam thinking of upgrading my ignition on the rover V8 as I have a poor spark after 3500 rpm. Originally I was going to purchase a new amp from RPI + leads + coil ect but the cost starts to add up to the same as switching to a Megajolt lite kit from Trigger-wheels.com

So the question is…

Do I replace my current ignition system with new Distrib, Coil leads…

Or

Fit Megajolt

Paul

Import it direct and its even cheaper still.

He put the actual value of the electronics on the customs forms and I didnt get charged any extra.

You have a V8, so cross firing inside the dizzy is a real possibility.

Megajolt would end all of that.

Paul,

I bought my trigger wheel from www.trigger-wheels.com but it was expensive. I suggest that you email MartinPTownsend@aol.com as he should be able to supply one cheaper. He didn’t have a pattern when I wanted one so I sent him the specs from mine.

The EDIS8 unit and pickup I used were purchased via eBay from the US from this guy http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZshiroz

The coil packs were again purchased from eBay from this seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ESCORT-FOCUS-KA-MONDEO-PUMA-FIESTA-IGNITION-COIL_W0QQitemZ260199027246QQihZ016QQcategoryZ21654QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewI tem . The coils I got were actually list as Ford Transit and were cheaper but these will work OK. These are 2Nd Gen coil packs and need the correct connector on the plug lead.

I made the support bracket and it needs to be very solid so that it can’t vibrate and give false readings.

I used the TPS setup rather than MAP and again the TPS unit was sourced from the Bay.

New set of plug leads to suit the Ford coil packs were needed. Got them made by ????? (Bloke at the shows).

Got my MJLJ from autosportlabs in USA

Loads of info on installation here http://www.net/Main_Page
