spitfire tank to smiths gauges
I have a spitfire tank and sender and Smiths gauges from a Dolomite. The tank is full but the gauge is only reading 1/4.
I used the ford voltage regulator and suspect that this is the problem. Can anyone confirm this and if so where can I get a Triumph one from. Out of
interest what are the voltage differences.

Don't know about the Ford one, but the triumph one is 9v and you can buy them new from Lucas auto centres(try the yellow pages) and they are a
common autojumble item.

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Out of interest, what was the voltage of the Ford Voltage stabiliser?
