Enjoying a glass of single malt, winding down ready for the one night of the week that I actually go to bed at night. Whilst contemplating the plan of action for my short sojourn into the garage tomorrow to work on the car. (fitting proper multi-pin wiring plugs to the existing wiring behind the dash. Fitting radiator cooling fan. then time permitting refitting/final positioning of scuttle.)

Ah the WONDERFULLLLLLLLLL aroma of single malt.

Well done! You just earned some brownie points with my wife - she usually remembers QoS just as it's ending, so I was able to tell her it was on one minute before it started.

BTW: I was surprised when I heard that Sue Barker used to drive Tim Henman to tennis classes when he was a small kid... it's easy to forget what her age is, as she's wearing very well... (born in '56)

Waiting for some Jackets to cook, watching the Simpsons and having a nagging feeling of dread that the missus is going to get f&^ked over on her redundancy.....

Oh and getting pleased that my CCTV ad keeps appearing in the top right!

DVLA forms and build up declaration. Coming across a few queries but getting there. Peace and quiet as all are out but I'll be getting a text shortly to tell me to get the tea on.

Hopefully a relaxing evening ahead - watching miami ink and bracing myself for sorting the tintop out tomorrow - blew a spark plug out today so its off to have the head whipped off and the remnants of the plug drilled out.

Plus the better half is somewhat under the weather - be glad when today is over.

Working at the mo (well sort of!) - on a split shift today. Did get a couple of hours on the car this afternoon though. Off home shortly for a couple of tins of the glorious Amber Nectar and a mooch round this site then back to work tomorrow morning.

Excellent thread.

Mart.

trying to decide if i go to the pub with mates or stick to my plans and spend 2 hours driving up the m6 to see the parents.

Spent the week being so tired its silly (going to bed when i get home, getting up eating and going to bed) so neither options appeals - although dad could make my trailing arm bits i'm missing on the lathe.

In a dream world, off out for a few drinks tonight, tomorrow in the garage - finally finish the handbrake. Do the final radiator mounts, complete the welding of the roll bar mounts, weld in the transmission tunnel loom mounts. Retire to a nice steak and a few drinks. Sunday, sort out the brake pipe mounts for the flexis & weld in, weld in the seat belt mounts, figure out how to mount scuttle & nose, realise if i had trailing arms, drive shafts & prop & fuel tank & everything plumbed in i'd have a complete driveable car! Go out to see mates for regular sunday night curry.

(ok, i need a couple of extra bits - but scarily i'm thinking not much!!!)
