has anyone fitted or has experience of one of these in a BEC
shown here on a hayabusa trike the diff / transfer box is chain driven with a 1/1 ratio i believe the final drive ratio is built into this unit as a
reverse gear
seems it might solve a lot of the issues with chain drive

Look to me like the rear of a Quaife / Poweretec box from the Radicals.
If so, then it is great... if you have three and a half grand going spare
... and it involves some fairly expensive mods around the engine-drive are.
that idea out of the window then way too far from locost

Indeed... it's the perfect solution Aitch, but bloody expensive!
back to a modified sierra lsd and startor motor reverse
of course this has the advantahe of easily being able to change sprockets and therefore final drive ratios
aitch
IIRC some people have used a starter chain and sprocket on one side of the diff and a starter motor/sprocket on the other side for reverse. Might
make life a little tricky if planning inboard brakes but apart from that should work.
I know someone on here has done it, just can't think who...
Just out of interest, do trikes need IVA?
They go through Motorcycle SVA, which is a lot easier than IVA.
Ta!
