I now have a bike fuel pump which I intend to fit at the weekend, I have already stripped the rear of the car to gain access to the existing pump and
plan to mount in the same location.
My question is does it matter what direction either vertically or horizontal the pump is mounted in, it has a small drainage type channel on the
outside of the body which I presume needs to point down (pump is from a Kawasaki) but I can mount it with the fuel connections either pointing down or
with them pointing forward?
Does anyone know how they mount on a bike?
Any advise appreciated.
Thanks
Ian
This is how I mounted mine, Kawasaki ZX9R pump. 1800 miles with no problems

Thats great, thanks for the picture.
I have read that your supposed to point the outlet towards the front but i think thats b*****s - i didnt
What i did change was my fuel line from 8mm to 10mm to match my cbr pump connections as they like loads of flow with little pressure
Hi
Like 40 inches we used a ZX9R pump but mounted ours under the tank
copper pipe length of the car with a flex pipe each end.
Has worked great since we first fitted it.
Good luck
