Hello all,
I am playing around with my design and looking at steering rack options.
One option I have is use a escort MK2 rack, one issue, I need to extend rack pivots. From approx 580 to about 660.
The thread on the rack itself is 20 thread per inch and approx 27/32. So finding a tap to make a bolt on extension may be difficult. Another option is
to drill and tap. Could probably put a M12 or M14 up there ok.
So questions.
My thinking ok?
What have other people done?
Is there other rack options I am forgetting about? PS light weight and possible quick rack would be preferred.
Thanks
I've used the The Lathe man, perhaps a chat with him to see if he can think of anything?
Check Sierra rack, not sure of size but longer than escort.
