hi guys i'm still trying to finish my project. 1.8 zetec into dolomite. i'm having some trouble with the standard ecu wiring. sort of sorted
out engine wiring but no idea on how to wiring the ecu up. anyone got any ideas please..
terry
I would start with a Zetec engine loom, you should be able to plug it all in then use a Haynes manual to get the basics to run it, then you can look at the wires left for things like Tacho
All the ecu's have a code name. Four letters / numbers. Aswell as a serial number.
That would tell me year and type and what car it came from. The haynes manual is only any good for a pre pats 93 eec-iv ecu.
Whats yours ?
Autodata is much beter but is still no help on the pats immobilizer and can list differant options depending on year/ model and spec.
Ive done a few
If you put your details into your location then maybe there is someone local.
Much nicer over a cup of tea and biscuits.

hi again guys. the code on the ecu is
92fb-12a650-bc 2fbc
so i think its a 130bhp one from a escort/orion i think!!!!
like i said have managed to sort up the engine wiring side i think. but i have about 7-8 wires that i have no idea about think some off them are for
fuel pump, power, earth etc but no real idea any help would be great
cheers terry
Loads of stuff on the net for that one as its pre pats.
Its just a case of wiring up the lives and earths.
