How good is the Haynes Roadster clutch pedal with a Type9 (and Pinto)

You need the thighs of this man:
to use my Pinto with type 9 clutch pedal
Fortunately I train a lot so I'm nearly there 
but my girlfriend who will be driving next month is less lucky! 
Also, to get the ratio right, I've got the pedal so long that although I can reach the pad with my size 12s she can't!
I have the Haynes book so I'm tempted just to copy their pedal... assuming it's good on the ratios etc. What are people's experiences
with the Haynes pedals.
I guess I may also be using the wrong clutch cable (the memory fades but I think mine's off a Capri?)... what have people used with their Type
9?

Designs ok its what ive got in my roadster, but make the pedals thicker to stop it bending,
im also using a capri, you may find it a little tight for your 12's but not awful

I've got the capri clutch cable and a obp pedal box, not driven it yet but when connected it feels weighty but not too bad, won't really
know until its on the road.

My Haynes has..... wait for it.... the Haynes pedals in it! I know, I'm as surprised as you. The pedal is fine. Easy Peasy to depress the
clutch and change gears on a Type 9. As mentioned though, 3mm plate is too thin and it may bend. Some people go with a 5mm plate, I've just
braced mine by making a 3mm 'T' in cross section.

Okay, thanks for that everyone.
My Haynes book has the clutch at 5mm plate, though I think maybe it 3mm for the brake! I'm only changing the clutch as the brake is ok for
now.

The clutch pedal on my Indy with Pinto and Type 9 is surprisingly light and comfortable to use. Ive had to have autos as daily drivers for over 10
years as I always use to end up with an aching knee joint after driving manual cars with a medium to heavy clutch. Driving a mates manual Volvo V70 a
couple of years ago had me in agony within 5 miles of urban driving but I can comfortably drive the Indy all day without any discomfort.
