Hi guys,
Having spent the past years drooling over some of the builds i have finally been officially bitten by the bug!
Due to work commitments i have been based in Vietnam for the past years so driving has been one of life's pleasures that i have really missed,
hence a sympathy vote to the missus to bless my build
Having trawled various sites i have decided to pursue the Roadster as my choice of build.
I really want to make as much as i can (similar approach to K4KEV from haynes forum this guys build is awesome and certainly an inspiration for
me).
With regards to donors i know this has been covered so much and as of yet i am still undecided, i would really love a turbo lump and also would like
to keep year of registration so i can use a private plate in future. Pretty open to consideration for all options.
Anyway, i cant wait to start the build and look forward to sharing my progress in the coming months/years
On another note, does anyone know if the haynes roadster forum is maintained? I have request to register twice now but dont get any response or
emails.....
I am based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear if anyone is local it be great to catch up over a beer while i pick your brains.
Hi
Iam in Washington so just along the road i have an MK locost but did buid my own before this one.
Mine has a zx9 engine.
A lad in Blackfell did build a haynes but sold it i have some pics of his build
Nice to see some people local.
I have been toying with the idea of a bike engine, i have a GSXR1000 engine laying around in the garage. Would you recommend bike or car engine if you
had a choice?
Is it much hassle to fit a bike engine in? What about licensing, did you still manage to get age related plate?

Car engine for IVA or reverse box and emmision can be a pain, the other lad had a gsxr1000 and could not get the emisions down even with two cats.
Mines a q plate bike engine not as bad to fit as I was expecting got mot it and scare myself
