Hi All,
Only me.
I've got the seven out of storage this year and set about getting her all ship shape again. Already ran into a whopper of a problem so I thought
i'de utilise my channel that I know a few of you already follow and document the 'getting her all up and running again and all proper
like..' Should a be a few videos over the next few weeks / months. I'll keep updating this thread to save making a new one each time a new
episode comes out.
Should be covering a range of things including some engine work, making some new bits of bodywork etc Always fancied a roof and doors...
Hope you enjoy
Oh dear - fingers crossed

Pippa got some more attention this week. After discovering a blown head gasket in the last video it’s time to get the cylinder head off and inspect
and repair the damage. Hope you enjoy the video.
Excellent work Tilley. I've never seen your method done before, fingers still crossed

I noticed you've got a mls head gasket, your surface finish needs to be finer than at present, it should be 0.4-0.6 Ra um which is approximately
a 150-180 grit paper finish.
I have used the same method to reface a head in a pinch (i used spray glue to hold down sheets of wet&dry paper on the glass), it worked
absolutely fine and is still on the road 15 years later.

Think I'll add a bit of text to the video that says 180 when i say 80 then give it a going over before I reassemble it all just incase anyone uses it as a reference for their own project.
Here is part 3. Rebuilding and reinstalling the cylinder head.
Quite a bit of technical information in this one for those who are interested.
Hope you enjoy.
Nice methodical presentation, now all I need is an S2000 engine

Episode 5 is up.. she's finally back on the road..
Good to see it back on the road - love the short overtakes - makes me wish I had a 7 again!
I wish Ford had kept that style of valve adjustment, shims are a Pita.
