SuperLooms
eddie99 - 28/1/10 at 01:06 PM

Dear all fellow Locostbuilders,

This post was coming next week but due to some latest posts, it has caused me to release the post now.
Bit of history, im sure like many of you. We would all like to make some money doing the thing we love and are passionate about. For most of us, This is in the kit car world. Due to sorting out some GTS issues, i had a similar conversation with Darren George and he gave me the idea of using my families contacts in the automotive electrical field. And it seemed a good idea.
A few days later after alot of thinking, we had another conversation and he told me that SuperLooms was Darren's, it was something he setup years ago when he had an auto electrican working for him. This was all left dormant when the guy left.
He then told me he had the domain superlooms.co.uk and would set up the email eddie and forward it to my address and i setup my hotmail to receive and send through that email etc..
Anyway, i have now paid for trader status am awaiting the status when fozzie logs on i guess.
I created the name SuperLooms to try and distinguish myself the differnce between my personal and business status but soon realised this is not the best way. So it will all be under eddie99

Towards my product, i have sold a few kits so far and 1 is being shipped out to PPC for one of their project cars hopefully early next week. I am also going to sell any electrical parts for the car from lights to wire
I will put up another post soon regarding the product itself when i gain trader status.

Regards
Eddie

Provide a good product, at the right price, in the time promised and I'm sure you will receive the recognition you deserve and all what has gone before will be forgot.

Good luck

Good luck matey. A word of advice if I may. Remember the customer comes first. It doesn't mean they're always right but keep them in the loop with progress etc. and you'll really shine where others in the kit car industry are failing badly.
To date I've had abusive phone calls from 2 suppliers, one being a manufacturer and have had to chase up parts from 3 of the main manufacturers who went way beyond their quoted delivery dated and were messing me around without having the courtesy to tell me they were having problems with things.
Bear this in mind mate and you'll be onto a winner.

Ed is currently in the process of helping me out with gts. I will definetly be using his services. Didn't particularly fancy making the loom anyway! Good luck and thanks.
