Here's one I made earlier......

Today I recieved a rather unusual delivery......

My uncle is developing one of his outbuildings into a retirement flat, so decided to deliver a chassis I started many years ago (by my estimates, about 1998- 1999 ish)
and when I moved house it was put into the loft of the building for "a wee while, just 'till I get somewhere to put it"and then we both forgot about it!

It's surprisingly well on, and remarkably few bits have gone missing. I sold the engine from it fairly quickly atfet it went into storage - It took a Mid mounted Imp engine, and was strongly inspired by the Ecurie Ecosse Imp F4 cars of the mid '60s.

Front wishbones were fabricated to Triumph geometry (they have not been found yet, or the Uprights / Hubs etc) The rear was home designed on a 'string computer' as inspired by Alan Stanniforth's Terrapin, and used Mini front uprights (also lost / recycled)

I am due to take delivery of my current '60s clubmans car project asap, so looks like this one'll become a climbing frame for the kids in the back garden. I think it'll look good with flowerpots in the engine bay - My wife isn't so sure!

Anyway, photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/44645707@N00/sets/72157632964636280/

Why do we do these things?

What car/chassis was it before you started adding to it?

it was built from scratch.
Somewhere I have a funny photo of a pal sitting in the bare chassis part built when it was little more than half a dozen tubes.
Lots of fishmouth cuts!

Would the car you are restoring happen to be the Wilson GT?

Nope, not the Wilson. In fact that bit of info in the side-bar is out of date, but it was a very similar car, and I have been in touch with the chap with the Wilson, as it was built just down the road from my old house and shared a lot in common with my old project 'Pandora'.

I now have a '60s clubmans car project.
