Minimum wiring required to run a MX5 on original ECU.
Hi,
Has anyone got details of the necessary wiring required to run an MX5 on it's original ECU? The car won't have the original instruments.
Many thanks.

Which MX-5 engine are we talking about?
I built my car with a 1994 engine and it was easy to get that running on the standard ECU without instruments.
Later engines may be more tricksy

For Mk2/2.5 (NB) engines you will need the matched ECU, immobiliser box and chipped key, plus key reader from the ignition switch to have any hope of
getting the engine to run on the standard ECU. The fuel pump and starter inhibit circuits can be bypassed from the immobiliser module, but the ECU
won’t run the ignition (and injectors) without the right signal from immobiliser.
