Chassis help!!!!
Good mooooning all
I purchased a flat pack chassis from Talon a while back and it arrived with out any build dimension's/plans, I was told laptop was dead and he
would need to re measure etc and send them on !!!
I did try to sell it but its no good as is and basically ended up with the c**k ache..
so my plea is has any one got the dimensions needed for mx5 based flat pack or have I just bought a pile of clean scrap delivered for £375
If I can get dimension's I have decided to keep and crack on with it after all that's why I got it

+1. And buy the book - which is where the plans originate from? (Personally I would not be expecting the supplier of flatpack parts to be sending
diagrams - that's someone elses IP surely? )http://www.amazon.co.uk/372/dp/1844253910

Plenty of discussion on the Haynes forum about diff mounting for Mx5 - so well worth a look i think - I guess if the tunnel is different (I
didn't think it was) there will be stuff on that too.
When it comes to gearbox and engine mounts - I ended up placing those with the engine and gearbox in situ - even if there were measurements available
- it was just easier that way to know if was going where I wanted it.
I think there's a specific post for MX5 changes - worth searching on 'Saturn' on the Haynes forum - i think Saturn Sports Cars (as
was) did a summary of changes.
Also worth thinking about a) alternative rollhoop mounts to the Book and b) alternative back end designs - depending what bodywork you're going
to use...

There weren't that many changes. I'd suggest marking up as many pieces as possible according to the Haynes Roadster plans, then you should
hopefully find only half a dozen left over. The transmission tunnel was only slightly widened so those bits will be identifiable, then it's just
the diff cage.
I put the Saturn plans in my blog which might also help;
