What bodywork are you all using?
So I built a Haynes Roadster about 5 years ago, when there were a few suppliers around for chassis, bodywork etc. I’m now thinking about starting
again, using an MX5 donor. Having done a bit of research, it seems like suppliers are now thin on the ground! I’m happy to build the chassis,
wishbones etc, but who are people using for bodywork now? I’d do the sides and rear panel in ali like my last one, but would want wings, scuttle,
bonnet and nosecone.
Thanks
Adrian

Hi,
Equinox makes a very good quality bodywork for Haynes Roadster. I think I won't be the only one here vouching for them.

Good luck for the build!

Great stuff, thanks! Are they new moulds, or taken from the old Saturn ones?
Cheers

New moulds made by themselves and not too far from you, could always go and see them.

Yes, they are GRP professional and I'm sure they use moulds in good condition. No connexion with ex-Saturn, you can see that the design is even
a bit different (check out the nose cone with oil cooler opening, it looks great. And if, like me, you do not have an oil cooler, this spot is perfect
to fit the number plate!)
IIRC Saturn moulds went from hand to hand of non-professional GRP manufacturers. The last guy to have them disappeared after a little while.

May be interested in moulds if your parting with them....
