Just a word of caution on an open forum, putting the approximate location of your unusual and valuable item pn a map is very trusting. On one of the mountainbiking forums i was on someone did similar until a very coincidental increase in thefts occurred with folk who had put their name on the map.

There not going to get much info from an approximate location, i put them in a random position so it doesnt show where the people actually live.

Similarly, the American BMW motorcycle club has what they call the Anonymous Book that lists phone numbers and approximate locations with descriptions of what those members can and are willing to provide. So, if you happen to be in that location and need help or just feel like sharing a cup of coffee - there may or may not be somebody local that's happy to provide. Saved my butt on a cross-country trip and made new friends.
