Whatever it is, it's superbly built and looks fantastic.

It'd be better if it was registered legally...
"the log book has her registered as a 1967 Lotus Elan"
Shame.

Which suddenly flips, pinning you underneath.
At night the ice-weasels come...

Ohhh no it's not, it's an Elan!
Look out it BEHIND YOU!, BEHIND YOU !!
It isnt an Elan neither, as he says, no Elan parts !
RINGER ! ! !
An original Elan lost it's ID so someone could register this without SVA/IVA ?

I'd feel like a right knobber driving that. I do quite like it though, but the cycle wings and lights ruin it and theyre essential for the road.

And the wheels were obviously robbed from Noddy's car.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

I think they are the original (or replica) Lotus 'wobbly wheels'
Cheers,

When thinking outside the box doesn't work any more, it's time to build a new box

The wheels are strange as they appear to be spinning even while static
Or is it my eyes ??

You want to be careful! The owner has been hawking this thing round the internet for some time, trying to establish a 'provenance' for it,
and gets very upset when anyone challenges its authenticity:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=198&t=864530&mid=28488&nmt=build your own single seater book (Haynes)
If he ever discovers this thread, you might find yourself threatened with a 'visit'!
IIRC, I think it's registered as a 1967 Europa rather than an Elan on the DVLA database... and it's listed as having a 200cc
engine!
