Exhaust Manifold for C20XE in MK indy

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody here would be interested in my exhaust manifold before it goes on fleabay?

It's a 4 into 1 for a C20XE engine, built by Martin Keenan of MK Engineering for my MK Indy. Great quality and worked very well for me.

I've converted to a new zetec install so it's now surplus to requirements.

Looking for about £250 (cost somewhat more!)

Have a look at the pictures in my archive (when new and current condition) if you want (or lety me know how to add the picuures to this post!).

Cheers

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Hi,
i'm interested in your manifold, i have a Tiger Avon and need a manifold.

Could i ask you to check a few measurements for me please. Was the exhaust ports on the red top below your top chassis rail, and also whats the length from flange to where the exhaust bends down the outside of the tub

or if anyone knows if MK is about the same size as an Avon would be appreciated

regards Sandy

Hi Sandy,

I'm afraid I can't remember if the C20XE ports were below the chassis rail. From some old pictures, it looks like they might have been marginally below but not much (see the couple of pics in my photo archive).

I'll have a good measure and try to do some more pictures of the manifold from different angles when I'm back home on Thursday.

Cheers
Chris

Hi,

I've had a measure and am about to add another couple of pictures to my photo archive.

It looks like the exhaust ports were slightly below the top chassis rail since the manifold bends upwards from the head by about 40mm to clear the chassis rail.

The distance from the head to where the exhaust bends downwards on the outside of the tub is approx 340mm.

Hope this helps

Thanks
Chris
