which fuel sender and pump for haynes roadster/
My build is coming on well. Now planning to fit a fuel tank and lines for my 1.8 CVH donor engine with carburettors. Each step is a learning
experience so more advice would be gratefully appreciated, please.
I plan to buy a ready made aluminium tank [as I am not set up for TIG welding] and need to specify it for a suitable sender. Should I use the sender
from my donor car, or buy a new one?
I haven't taken the fuel tank out of my donor Sierra, but the manual suggests it has an in-tank pump and sender unit as one.
I have had a look at sender units and see some are float driven and others just a column. The column design seems more sensible to me? I presume I
would have to buy a suitable pump (which one?) and fit this between tank and engine plus fit an inline filter?
Grateful for advice from those who have done this before.
Thanks

I would have said it all depends on your gauges, If your going to use the stock sierra gauges go for the sierra sender.
I've just got a cheap sender off ebay and a facet fuel pump (stock carbs) and it seems to work fine.
