Is this as a spare/replacement or a new project? Just curious!

Fabulous engine, did not regret my choice of power plant.

It is to upgrade my 1.4,
I should have built the car with a 1.7 in the first place, but it will give me something to do one weekend!

My friend is one of the biggest puma breakers in the country so I've sent him a link to this. He does complete engine packages as they are a direct fit in a fiesta.
Will let you know what he has in stock, as price depends on mileage of engine etc.

It should effectively be a direct replacement for the 1.4, the only think you will need to change is the driver side engine mount that has a different bracket on the puma to get around the inlet cam pulley....

Even better than the bog standard engine is the ford racing puma engine with LSD gear box...155bhp at 6krpm.....ummm, yes please :-)

Here's the reply I got back off him:

Can you reply and say

Current stock

17k, 55k, 72k, 91k and a few over 100k

Bare engine price between £160 and £475 but that price is without ancillaries, need to see check what is required.

Box, ECU, transponder and loom adds £80.

So between £240 and £555 depending on mileage.

Delivery anywhere in the UK is £55 but if you can take it one day while I'm over that way can do it for £30.

Driver's side mount I'm not sure he'll be using it in the RWD application?

Full price lists are on https://www.facebook.com/pumabits if you're allowed to link, if not just have him search Facebook for Puma Bits or call me 07866 423809

Just a thought, but if you have both time and space, you may also consider a complete car.......pumas a stupidly cheap, and many of the parts can be resold.

Many thanks for the info, i will contact him to see what he can offer.

JenKo, i am considering full cars too, but finding one reasonably close and ok engine wise is the challenge. Plus then i have another car/shell to dispose of., which i found a hassle last time.
