Typical low tension voltage
Quick question - does anyone have any idea what a typical low-tension voltage to the top of one of the coils on a 2004 GSXR 1000 motor might be?
Not where my car is garaged at the minute so can't go and check.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers,
Sean

Assuming it's a standard inductive system then the "top" of the coil will be at the system battery voltage i.e. around 14v with the
engine running. The lower side of the coil gets grounded by the ECU, and when the coil is fired this point will rise to 200v-300v typicaly.

Brill. Cheers. That's what I thought/hoped the answer would be.
Thanks,
