Anyone going to silverstone this weekend for the 750mc locost summer festival? should be a good weekend.

Yes I am! I've got relatives who time keep for the the 750mc, so i can't really miss it. I'll be there on the Sunday.

All of the racers got a letter through yesterday telling us that we're now allowed to join the Locost parade because there aren't enough road-going cars coming along.

It could be because people don't know it's happening or because they've got other plans for the final bank holiday of the summer.

As well as the parade there's a lot of racing going on:
Locosts (obviously)
Kit Cars
RGB (a.k.a BECs)
Hot Hatch
Roadsports (Cobras, Morgans, Nobles, etc)
750Formula & Bike sports (Radicals etc)

The weather might not be brilliant but the racing certainly will be.

I would have gone along, but I've missed the boat by 3 days...my SVA is on Wednesday!

I drove my formula student car around a couple of years ago...was looking forward to driving my MK around. Never mind.

I'm planning on going to this, I've not been to one of these events before - whats the situation with tickets? Do you just pay on entry, any idea how much it is out of interest?

I'll be there, trying to get more hints & tips for my build!

Hobbsy - tickets depends on the circuit, most are buy on the gate. If you go to the silverstone circuit website you'll find the info...

just got back from there ,went to have a look at tim pells genesis evo ,he got pole then on the 3rd lap went into the gravel . had a good day out and well worth £10

I've just got back aswell. I had a great time, and even got to go round in the race control car (rover 200 ) after the accident in the Hot Hatch race. The Genesis Evo span off twice in 2 laps in the qualifying!

The turn out of road going Locosts was a bit poor though. Talking to Keith Messer, it turns out the 750mc want to try and turn it into a yearly get together of locosts, as they have done with the Austins but I think they will have to do a better job of advertising it to people outside of the club.

How did you manage to go round in the race control car then adam?!
