4xv in my archive too.

I had to make it up as i wnt along as my chassis was not a bike engine specific chassis so mine may be worth a look.

I put a bit of timber across the bottom chassis rails and dropped the engine in so i could slide it about until i got it in the right place then made up my mounting points etc.

It was all largely dependant where the exhaust would allow the enigne to be placed with just fine fettling to get a decent look and fitment.

hope that helps

Here you can see the wood and G clamps holding it in its temporary position

i thought the sump needed to be just below the chassis or its to high up in the bonnet

I did the same with a sheet of plywood clamped to the chassis to act as a table to sit the engine on when mounting, I needed it lower than level though so just put some 1" pieces of wood on the bit that clamped up against the chassis rails, which gave me the required ~1" drop.

how much lower should i go obviously not to far cause of speed bumps and stuff but dont want it stick out the bonnet or handle funny cause its to high

If you see in the picture the bit of wood the engine sits on is not level with the lower rails, it sits about 40mm lower because i packed it ouw with bits of timber so the engine just fitted under the bodywork and was not 'too' low in the chassis to attract speed bumps!
