had my first run out tonight and have got flat spot at7k
i know i need to get it dyno set up
but i would also like a air box could someone recommend were i can get one from and also the dyno kit

forgot to say is fazer 1000 on carbs same as r1 carbed

I would use the airbox that yamaha sold with the bike :-)

You'll probably find that just putting the airbox on will improve the flatspot you have. After that its just a case of taking it to a rolling road to get the jets corrected (if needed).

I seem to recal the fazer airbox is lower level than the R1 design so should fit easily under the bonnet - just make sure you feed it with cool air.

The yamaha airbox is designed to fill in the flat spot. If you can't fit it in unmodified, make one. It needs to be the same volume with inlet pipes the same length and surface area.

An aftermarket box will probably not fill the flat spot as it is most likey tuned to a different RPM.

Get it jetted once you have an airbox fitted, otherwise fitting an airbox will change the airflow again.

stanadard fazer airbox fits under mk bodywork easily and i had no flat spots
