Where's a good place to get a self darkening welding visor.................

Also i've been using a SIP Migmate 130 for 5 years and fancy something a bit more powerful , 185a ?.........

What welders have people found to be good with a reliable wire feed....... Red Clarke welder?........

I got one from here

http://www.autodarkhelmet.co.uk/

£50, and spares availiable, works ok,
I chose the battery powered one.. ALL the solar powered ones have a lithium rechargeable battery that will only last about 7 years,

Mike who runs Mercury Welding in Horsham should be able to point you in the right direction if you want a new welding gizmo. Not always the cheapest but top after sales service.

Sealey 130xt
Not the biggest but I have had it since 1993 and were kind of attached. It’s had loads of hammer and still going strong never any hassle. Now where that piece of wood to touch.

Ive got an SIP 130turbo. Its been good to me in the 6 odd years ive had it even though it lived in a damp old shed. All ive had to do was rewire the torch. Its time for me to get a new one also as i want more power... Think i may go 150 maybe 180.

I bought a Lincon Electric Compact 185, not particularly cheap, (c £400 from BOC), but it works well for me.
One point though, if I use it on the higher power settings during winter, (when the electric central heating is running) it occasionally trips the circuit breaker.
