What centre mirror?

Looking for some inspiration.... I was going to IVA with the screen fitted but I have now been talked out of it... I will however fit the screen straight after... The question is after the test the rear view mirror will be fitted to the screen.. I need to mount a mirror for the test or do people leave the scuttle mounted centre mirror fitted after passing the test?

any advice would be appreciated and pictures as to what mirrors you have used for th test.

To pass the IVA rear vision test a row of 4 posts with height bands, a fixed distance behind the car have to be visible. If your centre mirror has a limited field of view it has to be compensated for by the side mirrors. High back seats will cause this problem and in your case it may be exacerbated by needing to mount the centre mirror in a low position.
The side mirrors need to be curved and not flat to increase the field of view. If you look in the IVA manual you can set up the test yourself and see if your mirror combination works.
I used motorcycle mirrors on the outside. I failed with flat glass and passed with I changed to curved glass mirrors I happened to have with me at the test.

I took mine through the IVA with full screen and associated necessities, the mirror was still scuttle mounted anyway. Having said that, even now it still does quite a bit of vibrating - rearward vision is very poor - not because of the vibration - the wife's always sitting on it

I used a longacre mirror, but I did have a cage to mount it on, it gives excelent viability for the IVA test and general use
