Here she was before the inspection with all the SVA stuff off!!!!

i've left some trim on mine too, though i would be tempted to cut back the exhaust wrap to the engine bay only - for aesthetic reasons.

Nice one, picked up my plate the other week. Me pushing did not count as reverse gear so were on a 'G' unfortunately

coozer - 8/7/09 at 12:40 PM

Nice, wish i'd gone for the full climbing frame.

Well done.

I have decided to keep the wrap on the exhaust as I have 2 kids under 2 1/2 and they both come into the garage quite a bit, so I have kept it on just in case they get a bit close when I come back from a drive

Adam, how come you ended up with a 'G' was it the 'one reconditoned item' problem

daniel mason - 8/7/09 at 10:03 PM

How long till you are back on the road, I need someone to go out and play with (if you know what I mean!)

hobzy - 9/7/09 at 11:20 AM

Got the back bodywork on yesterday, trying to get the arches on this week. New lights, switches, interior and dash going in over the next two weeks and the wiring on the 18th (I am struggling to work out the old wiring with the new lights ) so my cousin who is an auto electrical wizard is giving me a hand.

Struggling to balance working on the car in the evenings with finishing a load of DIY, playing with the kids and marking a shed load of GCSE coursework . Serves me right for spinning it.

Contemplating fitting a flatshifter while its still in bits... but £500 is money I could spend on R888s instead...

Was trying to get done ready for Hullavington track day on the 31st but dont think it will happen

bassett - 9/7/09 at 12:43 PM

Yeah G was unfortunate but i dont have a heavy reverse like you and hence the engine gearbox all counted as a used item. End of the day though i can get a cheap personalised plate - seen ones with "MNR" can be quite cheap.

spdpug98 - 10/7/09 at 02:53 PM

I just had a call from the local DVLA office, and for a second my heart stopped - that was until he said there was no problem, he had just undercharged me and I needed to go in and pay an additonal £5!

Went along and paid my £5 and now I have my tax disc, just ordered my plates online and IF they arrive tomorrow - time to hit the road

Do you have the new wing stays fitted on your car or is it the old design

ive just welded both of mine back up again as they have cracked quite badly after 600 miles of driving

i have made an extra supprt bracket to help prevent flexing in the future. it goes from the top fixing of the upright to the inside of the wing.

ill get some pictures soon

jambo - 12/7/09 at 12:35 PM

i'm just back from a trip out with 2 broken wing stays for the second time.this needs sorting out before someone gets hurt.the last one i heard about failing took the brake line with it.not good at all considering these cars get driven hard.
