Another big thumbs up for 2Gether Insurance
twybrow - 20/3/09 at 03:57 PM

Gary at 2Gether Insurance is a legend! For my BEC insurance, he quoted the following:

Parts only £88
Labour Included: £120

This was for myself and the Mrs, and I am covered for just a chassis number! Needless to say, I have stopped ringing around, as he said he would match the differnece in the unlikely event that one of the other insurers I rang can better his price...

His direct dial is 01945 465508.

I must be doing something wrong, the cheapest quote i have had to date on my BEC is £308 and that was with Quoterack......and I am 35!!!

twybrow - 20/3/09 at 04:09 PM

Quoterack send most queries to Gary, but add on their fee!

I am 27 if that helps....!

YQUSTA - 20/3/09 at 04:24 PM

That sounds good mine is about £200-250

5k miles @ a value of 6K and I had a bump in the last 3 years.

I'm 30

nor is the car in a garage

Gary got me Fully comp on a 1990 Daimler XJ40 for £94
He's the man for Kit and classic car at the moment methinks.

does anyone know if hes happy to deal with under 25s?

chris_smith - 20/3/09 at 05:19 PM

gary is quoterack?!?!?!

twybrow - 20/3/09 at 06:55 PM

No - Quoterack is a brokers who send Gary (aka 2Gether Insurance) customers. He specifically made the point ont he phone of clarifying this, and asked me to ensure I put 2Gether Insurance rather than Quoterack, as if you go direct to him, you pay no referral/admin fee.

That does ring bells, but can't remember exactly.... I was too bowled over by the price!

cd.thomson - 23/3/09 at 09:55 AM

Just to follow up on the young drivers insurance - spoke to gary earlier and hes just quoted me 375 for me and my dad, or 275 parts only! Smashed the 550 I was quoted by AF.

He also commented that they dont loss lead in the first year despite the low cost, the price will fall at renewal, quickly down to £100 with no claims.

Jumpy Guy - 24/3/09 at 01:36 PM

that sounds ideal.

on a related subject- how have people valued their cars for insurance purposes?

specifically thinking about non-kit builds....
