Time to renew the car insurance for the Leon.

Need someone to cover all the mods preferably, which is where it seems to fall down on the count of being under 25 (regardless of the fact I am not far off).

Renewal from directline is ~£570 which is great, only they wont touch mods for under 25s.

Adrian flux quoted ~£760 inc legal cover and driving any car.

Greenlight quoted £897

Chris Knott quoted £689.99 inc legal cover. And all mods on a like for like basis. Which is the best quote so far.

2gether quoted....wait for it....£1692 and didnt ask about mods....

Elephant is around £800

good advice re female named driver, our insurance is cheaper with Mrs on, currently with the Pru, seems to depend on who wants the business at time of quotation........

Give David Auden Insurance a try - I insured the Saxo with them and they were absolutely brilliant! And they know about modified cars!

Their speciality is competition cars but they also do modified road cars.

Asked flux and chris knott about adding a named driver and they said it wouldnt make much difference on the Leon.

Try LV, Liverpool Victoria. A lot cheaper i found than a lot of the main ones.

How close to 25 are you?

It might be worth talking to someone at directline... ask to speak to the team leader....

See if they would let you insure a modified car just a little bit early...

They let me do something very similar with NCB... although it was only 6 weeks...

Directline wont entertain me - iam am 2.5 months of being 25, so I guess too much for them.

LV wont touch me either, presumably due to my age and mods.

Neither will David Auden

So will be playing off Flux and Chris Knott by the looks of it.
