snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,
inisurance companies that rip you off rotten,
these are a few of my favorite things.

ok, I may have lied about one of those.

Subject: RE: how many years NCB?

I cannot find anything current. If you were last insured in 2000 then the No Claims Bonus has expired, you will need to start again on Nil.

Its 2 years with most insurers, but Aviva accept it up to 3 yrs old

NigeEss - 17/10/09 at 10:10 AM

'fraid so, two years with most. Norwich Union is another that holds it for
3 years.

I run into this one every time I take the notion to go back to biking... bike insurance prices are CRAZY if you don't have NCD!

I really should just buy a 50cc knacker and just keep it insured for the sole purpose of maintaining my bike NCD.

I had this yesterday! put my tintop back on the car after 4 years of using a company van so no NCB, im 27 clean liscence its only a mondeo TDCI £989!
didnt have alot of choice I needed to mot insure and tax it yesterday and they had an office in my town f**king mad

damn

I would cry/kill if i lost my NCB, 7 years hard work!

SteveWalker - 17/10/09 at 11:49 AM

Some insurers will accept no claims "accrued" on a company vehicle, but only for three or more years - I had 2 years and 11 months when I left the job and needed my own car for the next one

Things may have changed by now, as this was some years ago.

Yep ive got untill xmas to insure another bike or I will loose 8 years ncb

Big differance when insuring a 1000cc bike

I went ballistic! Lost 5 years when I was borrowing a car after mine got stolen and then I went into taxi-ing. 2 years of hiring/owning a taxi and now they don't count either (even though the second year is on the EXACT same car I was insuring privately!)

Quotes over £1000 for someone who's been accident free for 3 years, yeah I'm still angry with it
